Financial literacy
Someone who says money is not important to him is an ignorant fool or just a one big fat liar. I will ask what do you use to buy your food? Stones?.. If you ask me, most of the hardships in life comes from our deficiency in money. Just look around and ask yourself. Actually one of the reason why the Chinese are rich because most of them usually have savings or fortune for their next generation to come. Accumulated wealth really helps in the case of any unexpected event. They always help each other in money matters. And there's another thing - most of them too are financial prudent. Having a good knowledge in dealing with money is not something that we learn in school. It is something that we have to learn ourselves. It's important because money decides whether we live in a misery or fulfilling life.Being a financial prudent will help us to avoid having too much debt or making profit through investment. In short, we will not be deceived easily by any cunning motives. If we think money is important and this is to be considered as materialistic- No, I'm just being realistic. Besides, this definition is wrong. Materialistic is someone who only concern with material stuff and not other values. Financial literacy is something that a parents should teach their children or to be learn by each and everyone of us. It's not a common thing among the Malays.
P/S : A bank officer was asked,"Which is scariest: Empty wallet, receding hairline or commitment? He replied, " Empty wallet. Because with a full wallet, receding hairline can be solved, commitments can be commited.
