My visit to...

A visit to a place can change your perspective or view. My visit to BNM was one of them. I got to see a totally different working environment than I had in Penang. Their formality in their work culture is far more strict and driven than mine. We also got the chance to have a Q&A session with one of the AGs (Forex n Investment arm).
She told us about how the minds of our Governor and her Deputy works. Our Governor is a person that can see the main important keys of a problem even though the problem are perceived to be so complicated by others. She will say like, " It is simple here, there are only 3 roots of problems that we need to solve". As for her Deputy, he will say like, " Nothing can't be done, everything is possible. Don't say this cannot be done, for me anything can be done if you want to". With these kind of positive mind and attitude, no wonder these people are clearly the perfect man for the job ;D

Most of the employees esp. the top guns go back home late (around 10+pm). I respect them for their dedication and perseverance for their job. There's also one female manager who doesn't explode like a soda can when a person in the office scolded her or expressing their anger for any dissatisfaction. She always remain calm and hardly to be seen fighting back or responding with temper. She said there's no point to be in the same position as them, so she just let it go and accepts it as a part of life. To be calm like her always is a challenging (to me) as we usually tend to stand up for our point of view or at least make it heard. We are easily influenced by the people who tends to get angry so easily. But we need to learn how not to be affected by their temper and simply move on with our life. Easier to be said than done. But should keep this in mind.

I asked Pn. Zila whether investment is her passion. She said yes (without a doubt). Her answer actually confirms my believe-to be succesful we have to do things that we like. Passion is an essential element for us to achieve success e.g like them. So, soul searching is not yet finished ;) It's true-when we like what we do, the laziness or feeling tired seems so far away. We won't feel tired so easily and always look forward to do it everyday..waah...
I really enjoyed and glad the opportunity to visit BNM.Throughout the program, I find it very enlightening. To see and know how these successful people think was an exposure that I will always try to find. There's a saying, "Always be around with people that you want to be and eventually you will be like them". Peace...
