Appreciation


One of the best thing about working in Dell is the benefit to always have free stuffs and gifts..Well, it depends on which department you're in, I guess..hehe. Nobody in this world doesn't like free stuffs. During Microsoft week, Consumer Marketing & Sales team always get free lunch/tea- Nandos, Subway, Domino's, Starbucks or Secret Recipe. Pendrive, carry case for laptops and cool T-shirts are the things that we can get for free when a new fiscal year starts or during any Marketing events. And during certain celebrations, gifts are given to the team..I'm lucky enough to be a part of Dell that have a really great support in terms of their employee welfare and appreciation. I will miss all the free stuffs...heh.. :P



Chinese New Year




Since this is one of the important celebrations, we have CNY dinner for the whole team. Everyone who attends, have to pluck an angpow each and I managed to get a RM88 angpow!! My director gives me RM10..ok la tu..hahah..They also gave a box of bird's nest and some kuih-muih each..


Valentine



I don't celebrate this but everyone were given a small box of chocolate. SO cute..that's why I kept it..and of course I ate them..hmm, but maybe not the lolipop..huhu.

Wah....It has been two weeks or so for the year 2010 =) Hepi New Year It has also been quite some time that i haven't write here.And i was so delighted to have a friend of mine (first ever) to say smthg in the shoutout box..huhu. One person can make a difference. 2 months plus working in Dell makes my encounter with Malay boys becoming much more difficult.Haha...Masakan tidak, all my colleagues in my department are Chinese.ahaks..Fuh! Self awareness

Self awareness is simply being conscious of your strengths while acknowledging what you still have yet to learn. Includes admitting when you don't have the answers and owning up to mistakes, which can sometimes be painful. But we also cannot deny the fact that whether we acknowledge our weaknesses or not, everyone still sees them. Self awareness is extremely challenging as it is difficult to see in you what others see so easily. To gain more insights into this, there are four type of self. Open self: What others know about you and which you know too; Blind self: What others see about you which you can't see; Hidden self: What others don't know about you, but you do aka ur secrets. Unknown self : What others don't know about you and neither do you. We all have blind spots and if we can learn what they are, we become better leaders. Therefore knowing more of your Open self and shrinking our Blind self and Unknown self - enabling us to be in control of yourself. ...
